School’s out, which means the rhythm changed whether you are ready or not (i was not).
A couple weeks ago I picked juneberries (aka serviceberries) for the first time. If you don’t know them, neither did I. Picture a blueberry that’s softer and sweeter. They’ve got a tiny harvest window and bruise easily, so you rarely see them for sale. Now that I know what I’m looking at, I’m seeing them allllll over. Filing that away for next year.
And the main event: blueberry season has officially kicked off. There have to be hundreds of bushes around here. Thank youuuu, Steve Nygren!

Four years ago, Rachel and Blake opened a small concierge hearing clinic in Serenbe. It worked. People’s lives changed, and they kept showing up. Tiny, fun fact.
Cochran Mill Park, 800 acres of waterfalls, boulders, and the ruins of three 1800s mills, is community-owned. Back in 2010, nearly 400 local families chipped in to buy it from the county so it would stay protected. Worth remembering next time you’re out on those trails.
