GATHEROUND: My Neighborhood Doodle Collage with Reginald Laurent at Birdhouse

Birdhouse pulls the table out again, and this time Reginald Laurent is running it. You start with a piece of black cardstock and build your own My Neighborhood collage — cutting, layering, drawing, adding color — working from the bold shapes and doodles in his DNA Series, or from shapes you invent yourself. He walks everyone through it, and the whole premise is that a pile of simple shapes turns into a neighborhood that could only be yours.

Five o’clock on a Friday, $35, ticketed, and the GATHEROUND sessions tend to fill. If you keep saying you want to make something with your hands and then not doing it, this is a very low-stakes place to start.

When: Friday, October 16, 2026, 5:00 PM
Where: Birdhouse Coffee Room / Birdhouse Market, Grange hamlet, 10625 Serenbe Lane, Unit A, Palmetto, GA 30268
Cost: $35 per person

One of the good ones on the Serenbe events calendar this month, out in Chattahoochee Hills, Palmetto GA, just south of Atlanta.
