This is the part of spring where everyone suddenly remembers how good it feels to live here.
The kids are back at the fields. Porch sitting returns. Bikes are out. Plants are popping up. Everyone trying to catch the good part before the pollen fully attacks and the bugs remember where we live.
And suddenly the calendar is doing that thing where it gets absolutely packed.
That’s what Around Here is for.
Not just to tell you what’s happening, but to help us all look up a little more. To notice what’s here for us. To support the people building good things locally. To remember to check the community before defaulting to Amazon. To get outside. To try something new. To play as adults.
Basically: a small reminder not to miss your own life.
So… let’s get into it.
Around Here is supported this week by Soberish
Culture is shifting. Only 54% of Americans say they drink alcohol now, the lowest since 1939. Soberish is our local place to experiment with what comes next. Yes, there’s CBD and THC. But also alcohol-free drinks, adaptogens, herbal blends, and little helpers for whatever mood you’re going for: calm, energized, sleepy, silly, social.
Basically: a place to walk in curious and walk out with something new to try.

Tiny, fun fact.
The omega-shaped neighborhoods at Serenbe came out of an all-nighter at The Inn, when Dr. Phillip Tabb stayed up redesigning the land plan with Steve Nygren. Tabb studies sacred geometry, which is really just the idea that certain shapes, like the patterns we see in nature, make places feel more peaceful and human.
Have a fun fact or poll the community would enjoy? Send it my way.
